Terms of Use

By accessing or using deepface.dev, you agree to these terms. If you are using the service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization.

deepface.dev provides a managed API for face verification, embedding generation, and vector comparison, along with a limited public test studio and customer dashboard. We may update, improve, or change features over time. We will use reasonable efforts to notify customers of material changes that affect API functionality.

Model availability may change over time based on performance, reliability, and commercial licensing constraints.

• You are responsible for safeguarding credentials and API keys.
• We may approve, limit, suspend, or revoke access to signup, dashboard, billing, or API features at our discretion.
• You must ensure your users and systems comply with these terms and applicable laws.
• You may not resell or share access without our written approval.

You represent that you have the rights and lawful basis to submit any face data, images, or other content to the API. You will provide all required notices and obtain any required consents from individuals whose data is processed.

You are responsible for configuring retention settings and for honoring deletion requests from your users in accordance with applicable law.

• Do not use the service for unlawful surveillance, discrimination, or other activities that violate human rights.
• Do not attempt to bypass security controls or rate limits.
• Do not submit content that you do not have the right to process.
• Do not use the public test studio for automated scraping, load testing, repeated bypass attempts, or production workloads.

Pricing and usage fees are described in your order form, enterprise agreement, or published pricing materials. Self-serve credit top-ups, where available, are processed through our payment provider and are credited after payment verification.

Published pricing may change before it is locked into an order form or other written agreement. You are responsible for all taxes unless you provide a valid exemption certificate.

We retain all rights in the service, software, and documentation. You retain all rights in your data. Feedback you provide may be used to improve the service without restriction.

We aim for reliable uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Support levels, response times, and any SLA commitments are defined in your agreement or plan, if any.

Product updates, marketing messages, analytics tracking, and session replay are controlled by your consent preferences where required. You can update those preferences in account settings.

You may stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these terms or if required to comply with law. Upon termination, we will delete or return data as described in your agreement.

The service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Tech Local (Pty) Ltd will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill.

These terms are governed by the laws of South Africa, without regard to conflict of laws principles. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of South Africa.
